That plainness is the selling point for some buyers. Marvel's corner of the catalog is enormous, and a straightforward numbered entry is easier to place on a shelf than a themed variant that needs context before anyone understands it. It also happens to pair with almost anything else in the same line.
The number 112 is simply what it is, and the box suits either approach: working the Marvel run in order, or stopping at a single Deadpool, which is a reasonable place to stop. Both buyers end up with the same box, which is unusual for a character with this many releases.
