Doraemon is a simple design, which makes execution everything. The head is a true sphere with the face painted on a curved surface — not an easy task — and the bell, the pocket and the whiskers are molded so they still read at shelf distance. The blue is even and opaque, with no blotching where the mold seams sit. The proportions are the character's own rather than the usual body the line reuses, which takes extra tooling.

It stands at 58 in the Animation line, early in the numbering.

Production has ended on this one, so it now moves between collections instead of restocking. Simplicity is also the reason it has lasted; there is nothing on the figure to date it. Shelf it alongside the Animation run and the scale matches exactly.
