Log in to reviewPerfect Cell arrives from the Dragon Ball Z corner of the Animation catalog. Number 13 is an early slot, and the villain still gets requested years after the show's peak. The series has stayed in print a long time, and the early numbers are the ones that get skipped.
The design leans on the character's segmented armor and broad shoulders. He reads as a fighter rather than a generic figure, which matters for a villain who spends most of his screen time standing his ground. The colour is mostly green and black, which keeps him distinct from the Saiyan figures around him.
Funko has stopped making this one. Just the one figure in the box, and a protector comes along. Set him opposite the Saiyan pieces and the display gains a proper antagonist. For a villain-first collection, he does more work than a second Goku would.
