Hiccup and Toothless are handled as a single composition rather than two figures sharing a base — the rider small and upright, the dragon carrying the mass, together giving the piece a silhouette you can identify from across a room, even with the two halves sharing one base.
The paint has to keep that partnership readable, and it does: the two subjects are separated by value and hue so neither disappears into the other. Number 123 in the Movies range, and the scale difference between the two halves is used rather than fought.
Sold as one completed piece. Separating them would break the composition the sculpt was built around, which is worth remembering before you rearrange a shelf.
