Log in to reviewTwo Robin variants arrive together: the chase version from DC Heroes number 377 and the Imperial Patina edition. Two versions, same character, different treatment. The two share a number but not a look, which is what makes the lot worth taking as a unit.
The chase is the harder of the two to come by, since chase pieces are produced in smaller quantities than the figure they shadow. The Imperial Patina gives you the same character in a completely different finish, so the pair reads as a comparison rather than as a duplicate. Chase pieces are the ones people hunt for, and owning both halves of a pair is its own kind of satisfaction.
The Patina version also carries a 2021 Summer Convention limited edition tag, and convention pieces reach far fewer hands than retail entries. Shelved side by side, the contrast between the two finishes is the whole point.
