Log in to reviewThe Dark Crystal points its cast in two directions at once — Gelflings who read almost human, and Skeksis who emphatically do not. This listing carries one from each side: Deet With Baby Nurlock at #859 and The Chamberlain at #863, a two-figure lot.
Deet is the gentler of the two sculpts, slim and long-haired, with the baby nurlock tucked against her. The Chamberlain moves the other way entirely: hunched shoulders, layered robes and a long snout that gives the figure an unmistakable profile in any light. Earthy, muted tones dominate the paint on both, and the eyes do most of the work of holding the resemblance.
The numbers 859 and 863 sit apart in sequence, which matters mainly if you are tracking the run rather than the pairing. As a two-piece group, though, they balance — one soft-edged and slight, one angular and theatrical, both drawn from the same film and both from a Dark Crystal lineup Funko has since vaulted.
